Stelex Bathtub Repair started as an idea in late 2020. It became a reality in 2023.

Edward Simek the owner graduated from Evangel University in Springfield, Mo in 2017 and was searching for his own niche to create a business of his own.

After an offer was extended to learn the trade from another local tub repair company, it was very soon apparent that Edward had found the niche he was looking for. In the years since learning the trade, Edward has honed his skills in fiberglass repair, along with acrylic and cast iron.

Edward was raised by veterans, two grandfathers and two uncles who spent their lives advocating for the trades and hard work.

The name Stelex was derived from two United States aircraft carriers;

The USS John C Stennis CVN-74 (which Edward proudly served on in 2003-2004) and the USS Lexington CV-16 (which Edwards father, Edward Elliott Simek served on from 1989-1991).
